About

I’m Sarah Fevig, and I’m running for Lehigh County Commissioner because I believe in a future where our local government works for everyone—with transparency, compassion, and a clear plan for sustainable growth. I currently serve as the Assistant Vice Provost for Financial Aid and Scholarships at The New School, where I lead efforts to make higher education more accessible and affordable. I’m also pursuing my doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California, with a dissertation focused on how students learn through working—research that speaks to my passion for creating pathways to opportunity.

My journey has taken a few unexpected turns. I studied abroad and lived in China for eight months during college, ran a small construction business during the 2008 economic crisis, and have raised three kids alongside my husband, Jeff Loda, a dedicated middle school band and orchestra teacher at Southern Lehigh Middle School. In 2016, we moved our family back to the Lehigh Valley from Colorado because we believe this is a place where our children—and our entire community—can thrive.

I’m running for office because I want to bring that same spirit of dedication, innovation, and service to county government. I know how to build bridges between people and systems, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for the people of Lehigh County.
